Carly Filbin
Owner & Principal Designer
Carly Filbin has a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Texas State University and is a Registered Interior Designer with more than a decade of experience. Spanning multiple disciplines, including residential interior design, luxury residential project management, and commercial natural stone and tile expertise, her experience culminates to offer a comprehensive knowledge of the industry.
As a young child, she excelled in the arts and a single college interior design class was all it took to turn that passion into a career in design. “I cannot imagine a life doing anything else,” Carly says. She believes that good design is classic and timeless, while at the same time being a perfect balance of form and function. A room can evoke emotion, and Carly knows it is her job to help you define your design dreams and make them a reality.
When Carly is not designing you can find her spending time with her husband and their 2 dogs, working out, participating in Bible study, baking, painting or planning her next adventure! She enjoys traveling to explore nature and architecture, along with all the inspiration they both bring.
She cannot wait to help you transform your space and bring your dreams to life!
Miabella Kooken
Interior Design Assistant
Miabella has a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Sam Houston State University and is starting her journey as a designer with Blue Jay Interiors! Growing up she always had a love for art, design, and all things creative. She knew she wanted to pursue a career in that direction but didn’t know exactly what until she graduated high school and needed to choose a major when applying to schools. Turns out, Interior Design was exactly what she was looking for and after graduating from university her passion and love for design has only grown stronger! While in college, Miabella started working for a wedding planning company and found a new love for that as well. Working in both fields has taught her so much about life and showed her that it is possible to do everything you love, you just have to make time for it!
When Miabella is not in the studio she can be found spending time with her family, playing with her dog Astro, or working with brides to help them plan their wedding. She also loves to draw and paint, go to her workout classes, and explore the world!
